Dr. Steve Eastman
Veterinarian
Dr. Steve Eastman graduated from Louisiana State University, School of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. He came to Key Biscayne in 2003 and has since been the owner and sole veterinarian of Island Veterinary Hospital. He volunteers his time for several local stray cat programs and rescue organizations, and for the local police and fire departments, the neighboring county and state parks, and the Miami Seaquarium.

Daniel Delgado
Veterinary Technician
Daniel began working in veterinary medicine at the age of 14. He has experience with exotic animals such as Reptiles, Large Cats, Birds and Marsupials. He also has over 10 years of experience working in Animal Emergency Rooms. In 2003, he came to work with Dr. Eastman just a few months after he acquired the hospital. He has been part of the Island Veterinary Team since.

Romi HernandezVeterinary Assistant
Romi is a veterinary technician-in-training with a big love for animals. He's a little shy but very caring, and he always does his best to make every pet feel safe and loved.

Receptionist/Veterinary Student
Gabriella is currently pursuing her Associate of Arts in Veterinary Science at Miami Dade College. She is passionate about animal health and looks forward to continuing her education in veterinary medicine.

Briana Benitez
Receptionist
Briana is pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She is very passionate about these animals and helping them find their road to recovery. She has two Rottweilers of her own who take up all her time outside of work.

Hilary
Receptionist
Hilary is a compassionate advocate for voiceless animals and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in behavioral science. In her free time, she loves playing volleyball and staying active. Her lifelong goal is to run an animal rescue, creating a safe haven where every animal is treated with love and dignity.
